SESSION 1 | Beyond the Bot: Reclaiming Meaningful Assessment
Thursday, October 1, 2026 | 1:00 p.m.–2:00 p.m.
FOCUS: Rethinking what counts as evidence of learning when AI can generate polished products in seconds.
This session creates an essential forum for faculty to move beyond a narrow focus on detection and discuss how assessment can make student thinking, decision-making, and growth more visible. Together, participants will consider approaches that preserve rigor while responding realistically to an AI-rich learning environment.
SESSION 2 | Fluent, Skeptical, Ready: Building AI Literacy
Friday, November 6, 2026 | 10:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m.
FOCUS: Helping students understand, use, question, and communicate about AI across disciplines.
This session treats AI literacy as essential preparation for academic, professional, and civic life. Faculty will discuss how students can learn what AI does and does not do, evaluate outputs rather than accept them uncritically, use tools transparently, and make responsible choices. The goal is not technical mastery in every course, but informed judgment in every discipline.
SESSION 3 | More Human, Not Less: Designing Learning That Matters
Wednesday, Deceber 2, 2026 | 2:00–3:00 p.m.
FOCUS: Strengthening connection, belonging, curiosity, collaboration, and purpose as AI becomes more capable.
This session makes room for an essential question: what should remain distinctly human in higher education? Participants will explore how instructor presence, peer learning, mentorship, experience, and reflection can give learning meaning that efficiency alone cannot provide. The dialogue will help faculty protect human connection while making thoughtful use of new tools.
